The following table provides a summary of the indicators of well-being for young children from birth to age 5 as well as the family- and community-related measures presented in this report. Those indicators denoted with an asterisk (*) are part of the common set of indicators of young children’s well-being that all governments participating in the Early Childhood Development Agreement have agreed to report.

Future Government of Canada reports will monitor trends in the indicators presented above. As data become available, additional indicators that further enhance the understanding of young children’s well-being may be included in future reports.
